Capabilities
During the company's inception, a brief overview of the industry indicated an interesting opportunity: Large corporations that developed and manufactured gas turbine engines did so with the assistance of many specialized aerospace vendors. These focused firms included mold and tool shops, forging and foundry firms, along with a host of other high tech groups. It became clear that working with these unique aerospace companies entailed exorbitant costs and long delivery lead-times, which ultimately resulted in an extreme "barrier to entry". TTL believed that if it could build up infrastructure that enabled in-house development, it could grow a niche within the aerospace engine sector.
Since that time, Turbine Technologies has successfully developed methods that enable complete on-site engine development. Axial-flow turbine wheels, radial and axial-flow compressor stages, high speed gear boxes and high temperature nozzle rings are designed and manufactured in-house. Complex part geometry creation is supported with numerous advanced software and hardware tools.
Our engineering servers are directly linked to machines that produce real hardware. In-house capabilities include a laser-based rapid prototyping lab, a super alloy vacuum investment casting foundry and a state of the art machining facility. Simultaneous five axis milling, wire and die sink EDM, grinding and lathe operations, along with the latest in tool path generation software, complement rapid customer driven solutions.
Turbine Technologies unique structure eliminates multiple vendors and slashes manufacturing and development time. The result is positive corporate control, excellent customer support and extremely competitive operating costs.
