View PumpLab™ Procedure

PumpLab™ features three interchangeable impeller profiles, a totally see-through flow circuit, a state of the art vector drive, a 3HP motor and a see-through flow rotameter. PumpLab also entails a fully integrated computer data acquisition system, enabling "real time" on screen data display and replay capability.

A strobe lighting unit highlights boundary layer activity in the pump impeller, actually stopping cavitation bubbles and related flow phenomenon "in their tracks", so you can see them! PumpLab allows students to study pump performance curves, head/discharge curves, flow rate/torque correlations, witness impeller boundary layer conditions, and view cavitation.

The ability to test student-designed impeller performance is a major feature of this system. Have your students design their own custom impellers, predict performance and actually verify results. Call us for additional details.
