Centrifugal Pumping is a key element in many industries and a significant energy user.

PumpLab™ is a combination Centrifugal Flow and Programmable Process Control educational system.  It features a totally see-through flow circuit with 3 interchangeable pump impeller profiles for centrifugal pump characteristic training.

The heart of the system is a programmable variable frequency drive allowing pump speed to be infinitely adjustable and programmable for pumping and process control experimentation.

Students use PumpLab™ to develop pump performance curves, which are then used to devise process control scenarios based on pressure and flow feedback loops.  The harmful consequences of cavitation on system efficiency and physical integrity can also be demonstrated.  The included strobe light system enables the affects of cavitation to be witnessed on impeller boundary layer conditions.

The LabView™ virtual instrument panel and integrated data acquisition system provide fully interactive control of PumpLab™ and real time tracking and recording of all system pressure, flow and power readings.
