Turbine Technologies Ltd. Wins Sensor Data Contract from Pratt & Whitney

Posted in: General News

Pratt & Whitney recently awarded Turbine Technologies Ltd. (TTL) a contract to determine the scalability of data acquired from a suite of undisclosed types of gas turbine engine sensors.  The TTL SR30 gas turbine engine was selected for the project. Sensor installation, engine operation and data collection commenced at TTL engine test facilities in October and is being led on the TTL side by Dr. Drew Caswell. The program is scheduled for completion in 2009 and will entail the use of numerous engines. The University of Southern California, the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico (UIPR) and the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez (UPRM) also are program partners. UIPR and UPRM are currently operating TTL SR-30™ gas turbine engines for academic and research purposes.
